Consulting

If you need assistance with any of your web woes, and you're not sure if we can help you, just ask! We provide a variety of services, some very specialized, and chances are, if we can't help you directly, we'll know someone who can. Sometimes a person just needs to be pointed in the right direction! If you know you'd like us to undergo a large project, such as the design and development of a web site, or if you have questions about what type of site you might need, or what elements may be required to accomplish your objectives, just give us a call. We'll give you a free consultation for up to an hour. But remember, we do more than build web sites, so do get in touch if you need technical advice about anything relating to the web, and we'll tell you how we can help you.

Template Design

Maybe all you want are a few new ideas to get the ball rolling. If all you need is a template design, we'll be happy to provide you with new and innovative ideas for displaying all types of content. After discussing your ideas with you, we'll have a good feel for the type of look you're trying to achieve, and we'll be able to produce a graphic detailing a potential template for a site layout. If the ideas are all you require, we can produce the graphic and turn it over to you, so that you can turn it into a real template your way, using any type of code you wish. Otherwise, upon your approval of our layout, we'll be more than happy to turn it into properly sliced images and strict XHTML, and turn it over to you that way. You tell us what you'd like to have, and we'll accommodate you in every way that we can.

Web Site Audits

TransEffect's web site auditing makes up one of our most valuable services. So much of the web seems unaware that design and development standards are up, coming, and here. Is your site reaching its maximum number of members in your target audience? The answer, if your site isn't built to reflect current standards, is no.

Most of the web sites on the internet are coded in some form of HTML, and a vast majority of those sites use deprecated HTML tags. That means those tags are no longer a valid part of HTML. Most browsers still currently accept usage of those tags, and still display them properly, but that won't last forever. If you want your site to be prepared for the future of the web, those deprecated tags must be eliminated, or your site will no longer display properly, potentially causing reduced faith in the quality of your services, resulting in loss of business.

TransEffect will happily audit your site and tell you a number of different things about it. We do accessibility audits, letting you know how your site could be more accessible to the general user, as well as to disabled users, and we do web-standards audits, letting you know how well your site actually conforms to the rules of the latest versions of HTML, XHTML, and CSS. We can let you know what your site can do better to accommodate its users, and we can give you the cost to update your site to get it maximally efficient. We'll also let you know how elements on your site may be rearranged to make your site more intuitive and easier to navigate for everyone. Most people don't give a second thought about how their sites look on PDAs or cell phones, but here at TransEffect, we know the web is quickly moving to portable devices, and they will soon be much more mainstream than they are now. We believe people with cell phones and PDAs should have the same access to information as people with desktop and notebook computers.

Web Site Maintenance

Some of our clients like to have us get them started with a new web site, and then they like to learn the intricacies of it so that they can edit it themselves and perform all the duties necessary for upkeep. Others prefer to have it out of their hands completely. They like to oversee the development and production, and that's it. It's ours to take care of.

At TransEffect, we're happy to do any kind of maintenance on any kind of web site. If there's just one thing you need help figuring out, call us. If you need us to take on full-time maintenance duties for your site, call us. We really do it all, and we have a variety of maintenance plans that will work for almost any situation.

Our maintenance plans consist of a certain number of predetermined hours-per-month. You may buy a contract for three months, six months, one year, or one-plus years. For every step up in length of time, there is a step down in price-per-hour to provide you with maximum savings.

Graphic/Logo Designs, Updates & Edits

In addition to all the web work we do for our clients, we also provide photography and graphic design services. From photo editing to stationary layout/design, TransEffect has everything to provide you with excellent graphics services. We will help your business with its identity, designing a logo that will fit in well with a web site design, so your business can maintain continuity throughout an array of different media, from screen to print. Maybe you want to take an old logo and give it a refreshing, new look. We'll provide you with a high-quality, attractive, redesigned logo that you can use to continue impressing potential clientele, and making sure that when they think of your line-of-work, it's your logo that comes to mind first.

We can also scan photos and touch them up, touch up digital photos, and create other designs, such as for tee-shirts, coffee mugs, etc. We do not, however, provide any printing or screen printing services. Because we specialize in attractive designs, we'll leave the printing to someone else!
