These last few months have been some of the busiest times since we opened our doors in January 2005. We’ve been working hard for a number of clients building both web sites for businesses and web-based applications for the U.S government. We’re even moving again on November 1st to the Merrifield area in Northern Virginia. We just moved seven months ago, but the time has come to relocate more drastically. We’ll have a bigger office, a beltway view (for easy access around the capital area), and dear to our hearts - more parking.
We’ve been so busy that we’re looking for some part time/contract help building web sites and programming some PHP. We’re not doing formal interviews just yet, but we are looking for resumés and portfolios. Here’s what we’re looking for:
- Web Monkey
- HTML experience required (we follow strict W3C standards)
- CSS experience required
- Duties: Converting mock-ups to HTML, web maintenance.
- Code Monkey
- PHP experience required
- MySQL experience required
- MODx experience a plus
- oscommerce experience a plus
- Duties: CMS integration and maintenance, custom application design/maintenance.
- Design Monkey
- Photoshop experience required
- Web-design experience required
- Flash experience a plus
- Duties: Web site mock-ups, random graphic design needs (logos, buttons, images)
If you fit into one or more of these categories, send resumés/portfolios to info@transeffect.com. Ideally candidates will live in the greater Washington DC metro area for easy access to our office and our clients. However, we anticipate much work to be done from a location of your choosing with most communications via email, phone, messenger pigeon, etc.

As of April 12th, TransEffect officially became TransEffect LLC. What’s going to change? Nothing really, it just means we’re fancy now with letters after our name. We are working on some new logos for our web site, letterhead, business cards, etc. so you should see those items changing soon. If you have an idea for a TransEffect LLC mascot, now would be the time to let us know, so we can work it into the new logo. Here are a few of our preliminary ideas:

And finally our new promotional photo taken as we were climbing mountains in New Zealand. If you would like your very own TransEffect hat conversion kit, feel free to contact us and we’ll send you the directions.
